KDAF-TV, The 33, a television station in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, sent a news crew to the Monolithic Dome Institute to find out why dome buildings are considered so environmentally friendly.

The answer? The materials used in their construction and the energy savings, among other things.

Reporter Sandra Hernandez interviewed a local dome dweller along with David South, president of MDI, to find out more.
