Description:

(47’ dome with two interconnected 36’ domes; 4,000 sf; plus 30’ dome shop) We have recently moved in to our dream home so we still have some trim work and unpacking to do but this house will simply take your breath away. It is a combination of two 47’ diameter domes flanked on each side with 36’ domes. From above, it resembles a large Mickey Mouse hat. One of the 36’ domes has an augment added to accommodate our car and crew cab pickup and big boy toys. From the entrance to the front door and the very unique sidewalk leading up to it, you will have not a clue what you are about to enter. The path thru a small ridge funnels you into this house with bear prints in the side walk to lead you to the front entry. People are always in awe from the outside but once you enter, your breath will be taken away. Ninety-five percent of people come in, stand in the entry with wide eyes and say " OH MY!" You could fly model airplanes in this house yet the curves, colors and lighting will make you feel comfortable and welcome. In addition to the home, we put up a large dome for our hobby shop and work area.

Directions:

Take Hwy 285 to Fairplay, turn north at the light as if you were going to Breckenridge. This is Hwy 9. Go approximately 2 miles, turn on CR 14 which immediately crosses the river, turn left on Platte drive. (You will see the domes in front of you as you come down the hill to the river.) Stay left at the small intersection. Just past the pond on the left is a driveway on your right with BIG boulders on each side. Come up the hill. The welcome mat will be out. Follow the bear tracks to the front door.
